My approach is eclectic. It is steeped in compassion, acceptance, honesty and empowerment. It is rooted in 4 foundations:
1. the value of Eastern traditions with a focus on meditation, mindfulness, Buddhist and Taoist thinking
2. a focus on how the past shapes the lens through which we view our present and future, as applied to marriage and divorce, parenting, professional development, as well as intimacy and relationships
3. a belief in rational thought, as used in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy to manage thinking, feeling, and behaving for a more balanced life
4. knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral modalities that can optimize thinking and the ability to live more fully and happily.
My therapeutic roots are also tied to over 25 years serving as a military member and provider for fellow military members in a variety of capacities. I provide mental health treatment, substance abuse treatment, EAP services, healing for grief & loss, as well as professional executive coaching.
My goal is to help you increase your own personal insight, self-care and self-love. Unlike many practitioners, I use hypnotherapy to resolve distortion from the past and guide you to envision the path to a brighter future.
